I remember reading many of these stories back in my teens, in the 1970's. They intrigued me back then but now they're very dated. The biggest flaws, of course, being highlighted in his own attempts at explaining the "inevitability" of his designs when history has shown them to be flawed. We, sadly, have automated weapons that kill humans and our automated machinery is designed without any means or need for a human-shaped operator to run them. Our computers are still not capable of making the distinction of what constitutes a human being or not, so the premise of the "first law" is negated. And so on. Of mild interest as a time capsule but little more.
