Bart D. Ehrman, the New York Times bestselling author of Jesus, Interrupted and Godâs Problem reveals which books in the Bibleâs New Testament were not passed down by Jesusâs disciples, but were instead forged by other handsâand why this centuries-hidden scandal is far more significant than many scholars are willing to admit. A controversial work of historical reporting in the tradition of Elaine Pagels, Marcus Borg, and John Dominic Crossan, Ehrmanâs Forged delivers a stunning explication of one of the most substantialâyet least discussedâproblems confronting the world of biblical scholarship.

As a former Christian, I really feel that this is a book that I really recommend to anyone wanting to gather more information on the topic of the minds of the early christians. I feel that Bart has shown me the importance of reading about the formation of early Christianity if I want to really understand the cultural heritage of the western world. A very nice read (listening)
