Itâs a natural bodily response that is triggered by the sympathetic nervous system â a complex network of nerves that activate âflight or fightâ mode. Lots of different things can cause blushing. Itâs often caused by feeling embarrassed, hot, stressed or anxious. But sometimes you may have no idea whatâs causing it and simply by someone just saying youâre blushing can be enough to induce it. The key to stopping blushing is confidence and control.
