The kids in this book are awful. Theyâre all super annoying. The characters donât talk like real people. This is the first V.C. Andrews book Iâve ever heard or read but it doesnât seem from this that she can write good or even believable dialogue. It was also boring. But I think itâs a pretty popular book & I know Iâm very picky so itâs probably worth a listen anyway. I do sort of like the plot or at least the general idea of the book, just didnât love the execution.
