I come from Sweden, a very progressive and feministic country but I LOVE the teachings about woman looking out for themselves and their children when choosing a life partner. I think that Steve is encouraging woman to be in their own integrity and to accept that it is not our job to change a man. Being a feminist I don't like old fashioned ways of men showing their respect and protection, like when Steve is talking about men opening doors for women, but I can easily traduce this into a more updated behaviour that works for me here in Stockholm. I also understand that the old fashion way could work well for others in a more conservative culture like in US. It is not everyone that have this equity like we have in Sweden that makes women and men free in many ways, but also in search for our own ways of creating romantic and healthy long lasting relationships. For example I can traduce opening a door for me with planning the time and place for the date and fixing someone I trust to take care of my child while we date. Instead of going to church with me I would like men to go to a progressive political debate or a community service event for youth at risk or a meeting for doing something to encourage political parties to care for the climate change. The values of a man is important allthough he is not religious, he still has to have something that shows that he is interested and invested in taking responsibility for the wellness of the sociaty and planer. So I recommend the book for everyone, both traditional and progressive woman!

It was really good to understand why and how you can fix and understand your relationship but it was a little dragged out

I laughed good... He hit some nerves... Enlightning book.. Will absolutly recommand it for every one..!!
